Alan Collingwood

PRESIDENT 

With over an 18-year career at his family’s nearly century-old business, Alan has held a variety of different roles within the company prior to his current title. As a third-generation of the family to manage CSW, Alan has studied Business at Memorial University and has a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of Canada. He has furthered his wine education with Level I & Level II diplomas from both the International Sommelier Guild and Wines and Spirits Trust. Combining his passion and knowledge of food spirits, wines and beers have been very beneficial with building relationships with clients and customers, which has been one of his favourite aspects of his job - getting to deal with people. A lover of sports, Alan likes to play basketball, hockey, and tennis. In the summer, he loves to golf or go fishing when possible and loves to ski and snowmobile in the winter. When he isn’t sampling bottles of wine with clients, Alan can be found with his beautiful family, and their sweet boxer.

Andrew Collingwood

VICE PRESIDENT 

Andrew has a long history of working in customer service during his 15-year career, having started with one of Canada’s largest telecommunications providers. For the last 10 years, he has primarily been working in the Real Estate world, while maintaining an active role with CSW and overseeing the redevelopment of the company’s portfolio. During this time, Andrew has received sales and service awards for every year that he has been in the industry and prides himself on building long-term relationships with his clients and business associates. When not working, Andrew can be found enjoying food and wine with his Fiancé Alexandria, or out adventuring with their 6-year-old French Bulldog, Arthur. He also looks forward to the long-standing family tradition of the Annual Salmon Fishing Trip to Eagle River, Labrador, as well as the Annual Snowmobiling Trip.

Melissa Decker

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Melissa joined the Collingwood Spirits & Wines team as our Social Media Coordinator back in 2019. She is a recent graduate of the College of the North Atlantic where she received her diploma in Business Management, with a concentration in Marketing. While this is her first experience working in the spirit and wine industry, she brings almost 8 years experience in the restaurant industry with her. Her passion for all things Social Media, keen eye for design, and brand aesthetic has proven to make her a valued asset to our team. When Melissa isn't sat in front of her computer, you can find her spending time with her family, snuggled up with her dog, or in her garden.

Judi O'Keefe

ACCOUNTING & ADMINISTRATION

Judi recently joined the Collingwood Spirits & Wines as our Accounting & Administrative Coordinator. While this is her first experience working in the wine and spirit industry, she brings with her almost 15 years of transferable skills in Executive Administration, Accounting and Human Resources. She received her diploma in Business Management, with a concentration in Human Resources. Her keen attention to detail and strong work ethics has proven to be an essential part of our team. it is evident that she understands the importance of going above and beyond to provide outstanding work.

Clayton (Clay) Smith

MERCHANDISING &BEER PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Clay has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to CSW, having worked as a General Manger in establishments from Happy Adventure, NL to Harlow, England. During his time as a General Manager with international wineries and as well as local brewing companies, Clay was responsible for the advancement of each company, including increasing sales volume, forming business relationships and partnerships, and the expansion of product offerings. Not only is Clay skilled in retail and licensee sales, but he is also an established Author, just releasing his first novel ‘A Seal of Salvage’.  Clay studied at Memorial University of Newfoundland, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Creative Writing Diploma in 2019.

Robert Collingwood

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

During his lengthy career, Rob has held many different roles and titles, including President of Collingwood Group of Companies; Bowring Properties Incorporated, as well as Chair for the Board of Directors for Canadian Iceberg Vodka Corporation. 

 

Rob’s previous roles include President and CEO of the Baine Johnston Corporation and Chairman of Baine Johnston Insurance, Beothuk General Insurance Company.  He was recently elected to the Board of Murray’s Pond Fishing and Country Club and was also the former President of Tennis Newfoundland, President of the Riverdale Tennis Club and a member of the St. John’s Salvation Army Advisory Board.

 

In 1989, Rob became the Honorary Consul, representing St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador for the Royal Norwegian Consulate.  In 2008, he was the recipient of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit – Knight award.

When away from the office, Rob enjoys spending his time with his wife, Eileen, his son’s and his beautiful grandchildren, Henry and Emily. While Rob loves the province of Newfoundland, he and Eileen are both snowbirds and enjoy sharing their time at their home in sunny Florida.  In his spare time, Rob has a passion for boating, tennis and is an avid golfer.
